Bury Jam 08

July 23rd, 2008 Ollie Wainwright
The sun was out finally for the Bury Jam last Sunday which went down well with the riders as everyone went nuts. A proper class do organized by Hardcore Hobbies taking into account BMX, skate, music, food and full support from the council.

The highlights of the day were pro street with a rail ride to whip thrown, quater to quater wall ride, massive downside whip on the spine and phil stalls, pro ramp went down with massive airs, a LS6 merlin style footjam nose wheelie to back in and many a flair attempts. Also props to the guy with the white t-shirt and helmet crashing on every double whip attempt (try and count how many slams on the video).

Cheers to everyone involved with the organization of the event especially Hardcore Hobbies who had a crowd fighting over freebee’s thrown down from the ramp above to finish off the day nicely.

Project 5: Trowbridge Jam Edit

July 22nd, 2008 H Man
The weekend of the 13th July saw Project5 put on yet another top flipping notch street jam. The weather stayed dry and the turn out and riding was wicked. To start the day off on the streets some lad turned up on foot, grabbed a go on Joel Nichols bike and sent him self penciling down a 17 set. You could tell that the day was going to be good.

Matt Parker (Mute) has been busy at work since he got back capturing and editing the video on my right. Done in his own very special style he presents the P5 Terrorism on Trowbridge Edit

July 22nd, 2008 H Man
Street Phire lurkers Lloyd Wright and Mark Westlake have been hanging around with each other a bit recently, not in a gay way like but more for the riding. Mark has also been working on an interview with Lloyd for Ride so keep your eye’s peeled for that.

I was over browsing style43 and saw that  James Smith filmed and edited a little chilled video of the guys sessioning around London. Check it

A Jam Packed Weekend!

July 22nd, 2008 Lloyd

On the weekend weekend i went to 2 different jams which were both being held for completely different reasons, the harrow death of a legend jam hosted by Zeal BMX was to mark the end of an era because harrow skate park is getting dug up in September to make way for a car park (I suppose you could of called it a funeral) and project 5s Trowbridge jam was purely for shits and giggles. Harrow “death of” Vid

July 21st, 2008 Ollie Wainwright
As your all probably aware, Harrow skatepark is due to close before being rebuilt. To give the 30 year old concrete park a good send off before being filled in a Jam took place.

Dan Dolan shot and edited this awesome video that clearly reflects the vibe being sent out on the day.

Enjoy.

Vans Team at Ocean Terminal

July 16th, 2008 Dario
Dave Sowerby just finished this sweet edit of the Vans team stopping off at his local park, Transgression, at Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh. Some pretty sweet riding. You can check out the other places where you can meet the team over on the Mpora site (even though they’ll probably probably make you wait for more than an hour then won’t even bother to show up like they did yesterday).

Bury St. Edmunds Park Jam

July 15th, 2008 Ollie Wainwright
That time of the year has come, next sunday (20th July) from 12 till 7pm Hardcore Hobbies has again oragnised the local jam. The guys up Bury are pretty sound not to mention pretty nuts on there bikes.

There are gonna be Live DJ’s, it’s BMX & Skate, Prizes, Food and a dance workshop! The trails by the side of the park are also getting sorted with the arrival of new dirt with potential of more dirt being dropped off during the week and the top part of the ramps were painted white with the black hardcore hobbies logo tonight.

Hopefully some people can make it down as it’s going to be a good day.

Zombie BMX - “Social Acceptance” Online

July 12th, 2008 Dario
Cleggy just uploaded his video “Social Acceptance” from 2002. Worth it just for the funny security guard confrontations and Cleggy’s dreadlocks. A class watch!
