Harry Mills-Wakley and friends went to Barcelona earlier this year for a chilled time in the sun yet they still seemed to ride hard and come back with some great footy which made it into this lovely edit from Harry. The msuic they used by Poldoore is spot on for this edit, laid back, slow and chiiiillllled… nice one lads!

Team Dead Sailor: Barcelona 2013

/

April 16, 2013

The Dead Sailor crew from Cornwall needed to escape this epically long winter that we’ve been having, it’s like something out bloody of Game of Thrones, I swear it’s been winter up until last week for 8 months solid. Anyways the guys hit up the cheap flight to BCN to spend a week in the sun and filmed this edit. They’ve also got some mint photos you can check out over on their site here. They hit up the more regular spots in this video but the edit’s sweet, nothing to balls out, just good old fashion riding and fun.

Are Xposure trying to make a come back? Is this going to see the return of the Ox frame, Xposure Legs forks and Boob Tube pegs? Maybes they’ll bring out another sprocket to join the “infinity” with another X-Men character on it like back in the day (Rouge on a 44T), who knows.. but for now you can watch their team video from their recent trip to Malaga and read up about their progress with some new parts over on the site.

Sean Pointing: All Work And No Play

/

March 12, 2013

It makes Jack a dull boy, in our story Jack is played by Sean Pointing who’s been putting in some serious hours at work over in Barcelona. So as the saying goes, Sean decided to make some time for “play” and made this short edit of what he got up to between work.

Mike Curley: Winter Retreat

February 25, 2013

Everyone seems to be away at the moment or has been away. Lloyd Wright is in the US on a Almond trip, Greg Illingworth is on a road trip with Hennon, Paul Ryan, Matt Priest and Kevin Kalkoff, im sure to have missed some riders off that list but yeah basically everyone is out the country avoiding the cold and snow we’ve been getting non stop. So anyways if you’ve left some space for your deserts here it comes in the form of WeThePeople rider Mike Curley, filmed and edited by Welsh superfilmer Will Evans over on the shores of Spain as part fo the #rideeverything series.

Erm, I don’t know what to say about this because my jaw is still flapping about somewhere on the carpet. You know that front cover Jason Phelan just scored on Ride UK, well the motion picture version was captured in this here video, it’s crazy, I mean, f**king crazy! Saying that the whole video is, watch Pete Sawyer and Jason shred in Malaga for a week in the sun while we all freeze our arses off in the UK. Nicely put together by Peter Adams using a real to real tape recorder with some snazzy effects.

Throwback Thursday: Barcelona 2005

I loved this photo from the second we were all talking about taking it. Bobby (the guy on the bike) was up for carving over the door, at the time this hadn’t been documented much, we’d heard that some locals may have done it and that some who tried it ended up grating their face off as they lost speed at the top and ended up sliding down the metal gate (like a grater and cheese). We also wanted to get everyone in the photo so the lads scaled the brick work and perched themselves over the top like a bunch of scooter kids at the skatepark, legs hanging over the top of the tranny. Anyway’s Bobby had been practicing the run up further down the road where he was trying to work out if he could get the speed and cut in at the right angle to get the whole gate carved without slipping out or going too far and hitting the other gate (out of the picture on the left). Turns out he got all his calculations sorted and blasted it first time, no doubt his heart was in his mouth as he sped towards it in the near on dark surroundings before a massive flash went off in his eyes.

This ended up being the opening photo in our Ride UK write up about the trip. I’m going to upload that at a later date for you all to have a laugh at. Some great photos were taken on that trip and some class stories. Till next time, in a bit..

Flybikes in Vigo and San Sebastian

/

January 16, 2013

It looks like Spain has it all. I’ve only been to Barcelona to ride once before and have meaning to go back ever since to go ride again. I went last year with my girlfriend and we had a few days down there chilling out and celebrating my birthday. It was February and the locals said that it was freezing, big jackets, scarfs and wooly hats while us two Brits were wearing jeans and t-shirts with the ocasional coat. It’s all about perspective and my view on it is that Spain has pretty much got it all. They have awesome weather, hardly ever see snow unless you travel up into the mountains, it never really gets colder than 10-14 degrees and rain is minimal. On top of all that weather reporting they have amazing spots to ride! Check out the video below where the team go back to the birthplace of FlyBikes in their home town of Vigo, later in the video they all head north to hit up San Sebastian to shred some more streets. I need to hit these places up with a crew soon!

20Twenty: Matt Roe Malaga

/

January 13, 2013

/ H Man

It’s been a pretty slow weekend for UK and Euro web edits and then this one pops up in the news feed, Matt Roe edit filmed by Rich Forne over in Malaga. What a treat!! Even more of a treat when you see the legend Ruban giving Matt (another legend in the making) a high five. Matt carves the shit out of everything from curbs to reservoirs in this, a must see edit and a lovely way to end a pretty cold, boring weekend.

Oh and Happy Birthday to The Make’s Cookie, he’s 25 and been out filming birthday clips today with Newrick and crew.

Odetta – Hit Or Miss
