South Coast BMX have been working on another edit that went live last night, this one is in homage to the recently wrapped project that is Seventies‘ Our House. They’ve gave it a good send off in typical SCB style, heavy grime track, smoking bud and featuring lots of waffle getting all gnarly. Featuring lots of the Hastings and Bexhill guys.. NEXT HYPE!

Seventies: The Last “Our House” Session

/

August 17, 2013

/ H Man

We’ve always loved the “Our House” sessions that Seventies have produced over the past two years, I can’t believe it was almost two years ago that they built that place but since then it’s had a non stop stream of visitors from all over England and the World coming over for a ride, creating a great series of videos and lots of good memories. I’ve even been lucky enough to session that place a few times back when I used to work down there.

Here’s what Seventies had to say before closing the doors for the very last time on the “Our House”

“It’s been almost two years since we opened the doors at ‘Our House’. In that time we have invited friends from both close and afar and seen more amazing riding from here than we had ever anticipated. Federal, The Shadow Conspiracy, Cult, DUB, MacNeil, Mutiny, The Make, Bone Deth, Hoffman and even our good friends at Premier, Pijin, 20Twenty, RADBMX and Crucial BMX shops are just a few of the many riders who passed through. Sadly all good things must come to an end, so to celebrate the life of Our House we held a small jam to bid it’s farewell. Check out the final session and hold tight for more coming very soon from Seventies”

Federal: Stevie Churchill and Jordan Aleppo, Our House

It’s sad to see it happening but the Our House edits are coming slowly to an end as the warehouse will be closing it’s doors any day now. I have been informed that a final farewell edit will be dropping in the distant future. But anyways until that all happens you should cast your eyes over this banger of an edit featuring two Federal riders Stevie Churchill and Jordan Aleppo. Stevie has been staying in the UK over the past month and Jordan is a Hastings/Bexhill local so they teamed up to do a little edit. Both these guys kill it in this..

Federal: Seventies Warehouse/Scott Taylor section from Federal Remixed

/

February 28, 2013

I thought this section from Scott Taylor deserved a bit of exposure as I don’t think many people saw it at the time and it’s got some great moves in it. It’s attached to a Seventies warehouse session which isn’t too shabby either. Not sure exactly when it came out but it’s evidently before Scott discovered tattoos and Dan Lacey discovered hair gel so I’d say that puts it at about 2008.

Throwback Thursday: Chris “The Count” Lee Byker Days

/

February 21, 2013

/ H Man

This shot isn’t even that old, it was taken in 2011 in the infamous Byker (Byker Grove) area of Newcastle. We needed a promo photo for the Seventies catalogue for The Make section so Chris and I headed out to this rail that he wanted to get a grind to grizz on. It’s right outside a metro station (underground) so it’s sometimes a bust but not normally as they’ve usually got bigger fish to fry. We did a few different shots but this one came out the most tweaked, I almost cut his head off on the framing but as he flew higher and faster out of the rail on this attempt.

A simple two flash set up, the main flash was set to F9 and the rim flash would have been about F11 but it didn’t pop as much as I’d wanted. Either way though it came out sweet and we were both happy with it. Enjoy this weeks Throwback Thursday and we’ll see you next week innit.

Pijin: Our House and Their House edit

/

February 14, 2013

/ H Man

Pijin BMX’s Carlos Gomez put this edit up just less than 24 hours ago featuring team riders Jon Root and Jordan Aleppo. Lot of spin-tech trickery and a bit of backwards rail action at the Seventies “Our House” and 4down “Their House” skateparks in Hastings. Just to note Carlos you need to check your focus on the fisheye shots, you’re not having a seizure, its just not in focus so don’t worry viewers!!

Throwback Thursday: Scott Ditchburn Ride UK Advert

/

January 10, 2013

/ H Man

This weeks ‘Throwback Thursday’ is with DUB, Subrosa and Shadow Conspiracy rider Scott Ditchburn. This was taken sometime in the summer of 2009 up in Liverpool, i’d been sent up by Seventies to get some photos for adverts and the catalogue and we’d pretty much spent most the day chillin at Jack’s place. I saw the rain clouds forming in the distance and our window of opportunity was closing. We hit this big concrete bit of artwork that I think was in the Uni, it was pretty big and Scott did a nice, stretched no hander off it (clocking some background action is DUB Jack doing a spot of filming).

January 7, 2013

This is what im talking about! I met Joss on the Seventies Summer Tour last year and he was a real dark horse when it came to riding and partying, Vinnie Mayne know’s what im on about. But anyways im super stoked to see that Cult Crew / Seventies have worked on getting a sick, short, street edit done with the man himself. Loving it, dark and grimey with a good helping of pegs.
