This is episode one of Red Bull’s new series on Danny MacAskill. I’ve not really met Danny before, not properly anyways but from all the sources and from what I see and hear he seems to come across as a nice guy who loves to ride his bike. Something I think a lot of us can relate to regardless of the type of bike we ride. In this episode we see Danny embark on his most ambitious and creative project to date however injuries from the past keep creeping up on him and causing problems. If you’re bothered by blood and operations then towards the end you may want to turn away for a few seconds.. (link goes to Red Bull’s site as embed doesn’t work)
I’ve been waiting for this Federal video to drop all weekend, they said Monday and I was let down some what however getting back in the house after a days graft and a nice relaxing Yo Sushi meal i’m graced by the amazingness of Rich Forne’s latest creation. Now after watching this video like all the videos we post up on Street Phire I noticed that first off it was amazing, all hammers no filler, second off the music is spot on but thirdly that Bruno’s Red Bull hat probably took more of a beating than his bike did. Anyways get this down your neck!

In a recent Red Bull interview Bruno Hoffmann talks about his move to Berlin to live with fellow Red Bull rider Matthias Dandois. For two months Bruno discovered endless new spots to session in the city. Red Bull spoke to him about his “Back to Berlin Streets” edits and learn more about the rough style of the city, and what he got up to there. Read on for some words from Bruno and some an extra video of Bruno and Matthias riding Berlin.
I saw this video by Red Bull over on the Dig site last week of Russian rider Vasya Lukyanenko shredding the shit out of some old satellite dishes at a Ukrainian Space Centre. First off I was like “thats too amazing” and then I was like “hmm Red Bull and there billions” cause to be honest if they want something they probably just flash enough cash in the right direction and they get it. Kind of takes the fun out of trying to find amazing spots and not getting caught riding them but this is sick non the less.
Anyways roll on a week later and Maxim Donchik has released a behind the scenes video from the project, it’s awesome.
I watched this video and thought to myself this is the definition of a natural playground for BMX riders, I’d love to go on a trip like this!
I’ve always found riding naturally formed transitions a lot of fun so this was right up my street.
The location: Campo de Piedra Pomez, Argentina which is more than 75,500 hectares long, with natural ramps and drops formed more than 500,000 years ago, as a result of volcanic erosions.
Red Bull set up one hell of a competition featuring riders such as:
Ben Hennon, Daniel Dhers, Tobias Wicke, Sebastian Keep, Ruben Alcantara, Kevin Kalkoff, Gary Young, Aaron Ross, Martin Postigo and Iñaki Mazza
Ben Hennon who was riding for TEAM CRC BMX took the overall win with a consistent level of riding, demonstrating creativity and good adaptation to the course and the climate.
Red Bull’s Bruno Hoffmann “Back to Berlin” episode two has just dropped today, again the music is questionable but the riding is unquestionable. You get just over four minutes of sick riding along with a few cameo appearances from Bruno’s friends Matthias Dandois, Anthony Perrin, Mario Waffenschmidt, Dennis Kicza, and the Slayer crew.
