/

August 14, 2016

Anywho lets get onto the main entertainment that is Sunday Sessions this week brought to you in full Technicolor, HD2000, World Wide Web Ready GIFS… Read more →

Sunday Sessions: Tails from the Weekend

/

May 31, 2016

/ H Man

Nope not the Weeknd the guy who said he didn’t rip off Portishead when its kind of obvious that he did (the beats in the song..) but the Weekend which went down recently (but not this one..).

Well im glad thats out the way, an over complicated intro to a fun weekend riding in the Team Valley area of Gateshead. Even when people say there isn’t anything to ride there, what they actually mean is that its pretty hard to find things when hit with the daunting task of a giant industrial estate and faceless corporation buildings but amongst all the crap there are gems, hidden places of beauty or in geek terms Easter Eggs (Microsoft Office ’97 XL for those old enough to remember Office 1997). Jim Newrick: Hit the North (Part I)

/

March 27, 2016

/ H Man

Don’t call this a come back by any means but could this be the rebirth, the V11 (or 12, can’t remember what we were un to last..) of streetphire.co.uk? Who cares but what I do care about is seeing a good edit now and again and James Newrick has came through with the goods. I know he’d been filming for quite a while and I had started to wonder how many months we’d be waiting to see something drop and then out of no where I saw this on the net this morning and it’s sick!

Putting together Part I of a possible multi-part series of web edits, Newrick has released Hit the North, a 10 minute edit of fast riding with smooth Jazz vibes, hitting up all types of street across the UK and Europe with solid appearances from The Count, Cookie, Pete Greaves, Newrick himself and then a whole shit load of others including; Clarky, Olly Olsen, Tim Evans, Adam Peterson, Conor Bedford, Leo McKenna, Dan Crossley, Richie Goff, Marv, Tom Sanders, The Roops, Wozzy, David Maughan, Dchum, Tom Bright, Connor Worthington, Marty Meenaghan, Mouse and Tom Kilcoyne (my fingers are starting to bleed..)

Nuff reading, start watching and spread the word.

Music:
Carvelli – L’etrange Dr Personne
Miles Davis – Nuit Sur Les Champs-Élysées
Cannonball Adderley Quintet – Tensity
Public Image Ltd – The Order of Death

Throwback Thursday: Mass Transit London

/

April 20, 2013

/ H Man

My apologies for not putting a TT the other day, so in an attempt to say sorry i’m putting up two photos for the price of one. Back in 2006 when DFTU was running the streets and bedroom industries were all the rage a small clothing brand called Mass Transit were having a road trip in London. The trip consisted of Joe Fox, Marv, Mouse, Mike Mills, Dan Cox, Cookie, Will Herman, Ratty, DFTU Steve, Baz, The Mitz and Rhys “McFleece” Coren. I wonder if anyone has the video online from the trip? Ratty??

Anyways here’s two snaps for you from that time, the first one is of Cookie doing a x-pegs smith at St Pauls and the second is over Mouse doing a wall ride to table in some playground down in Laaandaaan. Enjoy.

Override Skatepark: Session 001

/

March 30, 2013

/ H Man

Before Override Skatepark opened its doors officially to the public I had a chance to go down there and snap some photos of the setup before anyone had rode it. I brought my lights down with me but in the end the park was so light inside that there was no need to use them for the overview shots. Not wanting to let them go to waste I asked Adam, Mouse and Daz if they wanted to take some riding photos and luckily for me they were up for it. I hadn’t taken any riding photos for a couple of months (as you can probably tell) because of the crap weather we’ve been getting over here (and we’re getting older so it hurts more when you slam). I bullied Adam into doing the rail and a b, Mouse into doing some turndowns and tables and Daz into having a bit of a flow around as he was out of touch due to local parks being about -3°C.

Have a deeks at some of the snaps from the 30 minute sesh.
