For those of you who don’t understand the Northern dialogue this is a throwback on a Thorsday (Thursday) with Team 2 Street and there All Day Peg Sesh. If you’re scared of seeing rails getting grinded now is not the time to watch this and it is the time to put down the keyboard/laptop/tablet and learn to ride PEGS.. Adios
Don’t call this a come back by any means but could this be the rebirth, the V11 (or 12, can’t remember what we were un to last..) of streetphire.co.uk? Who cares but what I do care about is seeing a good edit now and again and James Newrick has came through with the goods. I know he’d been filming for quite a while and I had started to wonder how many months we’d be waiting to see something drop and then out of no where I saw this on the net this morning and it’s sick!
Putting together Part I of a possible multi-part series of web edits, Newrick has released Hit the North, a 10 minute edit of fast riding with smooth Jazz vibes, hitting up all types of street across the UK and Europe with solid appearances from The Count, Cookie, Pete Greaves, Newrick himself and then a whole shit load of others including; Clarky, Olly Olsen, Tim Evans, Adam Peterson, Conor Bedford, Leo McKenna, Dan Crossley, Richie Goff, Marv, Tom Sanders, The Roops, Wozzy, David Maughan, Dchum, Tom Bright, Connor Worthington, Marty Meenaghan, Mouse and Tom Kilcoyne (my fingers are starting to bleed..)
Nuff reading, start watching and spread the word.

It’s 6pm and if you aren’t up here with us at the Cycle Hub in Newcastle for the Deadline premiere then you’re probably at home reading this, well it’s our first edit that we think is web worthy in around 6 or more years.. Lets hope it’s a good one eh? Featuring Olly Olsen, Marc Bell, Alex Green, Luke “Mouse” Clouston, Harry Dyson, James Newrick, Chris “The Count” Lee, Martin “Cookie” Cook, Tom Bright, Pete Greaves and Jordan Hildreth in and around Newcastle’s Wasteland and streets, no park.
Billy Ocean – Love Really Hurts WIthout You
Jimmy Newrick has just uploaded a 34 second rail smash from the wastey. Featuring Cookie, Pete Greaves and the Newrick himself all putting down some peg action.. on another note the wastey is looking so tight, I went there today to meet up with the guys and the stuff thats been getting built by Pirate Dad and Pete Greaves plus others is immense!
Oh what a good end to a long day at work. This T2S edit is worth half an hour of anyones time, you will not be disappointed. With riding from Cookie, The Count, Olly Olsen, Newrick, Pete ‘Chaffy’ Greaves, Joe Cox, Dan Cox, Marv, Scott Ditchburn, Dub Jack, Bengo, Benny L, Mossy, Campo and a whole load more that I can’t remember right now. Get ya fill of street and cast your eyes over this.
The T2S video is still available to buy for £5 at this here link.
Cleggy over at RideUK have also done an awesome little review of the video, see it here.
Just saw this via Cookie. I knew that Jim had been filming for a while on a new project, he’s always got his footager out with him, the trusty VX1000 and his latest addition to the team the VX1 (Hi8 3CCD camera). This is looking so sick, it’s only a 46 second trailer but i’ve already watched it twice and no doubt will watch it a few more times.. Buzzing!
Can’t wait for the premier, keep your eyes and ears peeled over here for more updates or check out Jim’s Grey Haven Tumblr
My apologies for not putting a TT the other day, so in an attempt to say sorry i’m putting up two photos for the price of one. Back in 2006 when DFTU was running the streets and bedroom industries were all the rage a small clothing brand called Mass Transit were having a road trip in London. The trip consisted of Joe Fox, Marv, Mouse, Mike Mills, Dan Cox, Cookie, Will Herman, Ratty, DFTU Steve, Baz, The Mitz and Rhys “McFleece” Coren. I wonder if anyone has the video online from the trip? Ratty??
Anyways here’s two snaps for you from that time, the first one is of Cookie doing a x-pegs smith at St Pauls and the second is over Mouse doing a wall ride to table in some playground down in Laaandaaan. Enjoy.
Here’s our first bike check with The Make BMX rider Martin “Cookie” Cook. He’s been riding hard up and down stairs and clipping every curb in a furious attempt to get a pinch flat with these new Animal tyres he’s been running but they still are holding up. Is this the end of pinch flats? Read on to find out what else he’s running and some photos of all the details, including his amazing hand painted graphics that he did repping his sponsors.
A good crew met up at the weekend in near baltic conditions to have a session at Five Bridges, the crew was Olly, Pete, Jake, Newrick, The Count, Cookie and myself (H Man). Newrick had the VX2000 at the ready and clocked enough footage in a hungover state (very much like the rest of us) for a quick wed edit to celebrate Cookie’s 25th. Hope you enjoy the ride, thanks to Grey Haven for the link.
