Mankind: Isaac Lesser – Getaway Frame Promo

/

August 28, 2016

/ H Man

A pretty cool frame promo dropped last week for Isaac Lesser’s new Mankind – Getaway frame, filmed and edited by Mike King. Together Isaac and Mike travelled over 21,000 miles around the world following their passions for travel, filming and riding. I think the intro to the video resembles what a lot of us do from day to day and the name of the frame aptly reminds us of what we like to do now and again which is simply “Getaway”.

Check out the edit filmed in and around Sydney, Brisbane, London, Essex, Brighton & Barcelona and then go book yourself some road trip time off 🙂

Ryan got in touch with us yesterday to let us know he’d been out with his trusty 85mm lens and of course the capturing device of choice with Dyno. I haven’t seen a lot of Dyno riding since I snapped this photo of him a couple of months back but in Ryan’s update to his site you will witness some fine riding from Dyno and some fine photography from Ryan.

I saw on some of the social networks progression photos of Override Skatepark in South Shields. It’s been around for three years and a couple of the local BMX guys work there part time and have been given some input to what should happen to freshen up the street/driveway section. Below you can find a couple of quick run and gun snaps I took last night on the way home of how its getting on. There’s still another two weeks of building to go on but i’ll do my best to explain in the photos below whats happening.. Read more →

I got this message on our Street Phire Facebook page the other day about a job opportunity happening at Brighton University. They are looking for someone to and I quote “lead a project developing a BMX freestyle coaching framework to drive sports business diversification?” Now I don’t personally know what that means however I looked up for of the info over on the link below. They’re offering £20,000+ wages and you’ll be working with The Source and Brighton Uni and I can say after living down there for a bit Brighton is bloody awesome!

The closing date for applications is Monday 23rd May 2016, thats this Monday so get on it if you fancy an interesting job.

A one for the calendar, notification service.. reminder on phone, tell a friend.. I don’t know but one thing I do know is the following word from Metal le Pegs, keep your eyes peeled for the update of location closer to the time:

“Fed up of being lonely, sad, and depressed about riding with boring mates all the time? Need some hot new tricks to show your family and friends? Want to be the next big thing? Well, come along to the Metal Pegs BMX Street Jam in North East London on Saturday 14th May. Meet up is at 12pm. Baz Keep: Tall Order

/

April 21, 2016

/ H Man

Baz Keep got in touch with us yesterday to tell us about his new brand he’s launching called Tall Order. There’s pretty much no need to give you guys much of an intro into how long Baz has been riding but he’s been going for ages and has rode for some pretty amazing brands like Hoffman Bikes, Primo, Seventies, Red Bull and Cult to name a few and I’ve been lucky enough to have worked and been friends with Baz on projects like Brighton Ain’t Ready, Federal road trips, Up In Smoke Shop Tour and heaps more and he’s been a pretty damn all round good guy to have become friends with and spend time riding the bikes we all love and taking photos of it all happening.

So Baz’s next project is Tall Order, a brand for those who like to ride as hard as Baz and the team ride. For those who love a good transition be it made out of wood, concrete, dirt or a bunch of pallets, they’re starting by releasing two frames in November of this year and you should be able to get them from any of the good bike shops that buy from Seventies Distro as that’s who Tall Order are going through in the UK.

For more info and updates on the team, products, where to buy (anywhere in the world) and more news head over to http://tallorderbmx.com and if you’re tech as hell then there is some social networking too > Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | Vimeo

LAST ORDERS: CLEGGY ROWLANDS

/

November 19, 2013

/ Fraser

If you might not of caught it yesterday, there was a pretty hilarious interview with Richard “Cleggy” Rowlands uploaded over on the 4Down website. Cleggy is the owner of Notion Store, staff writer for Ride UK BMX Mag and also rides for Terrible One. In the interview Cleggy answers questions such as; “What’s the last thing that made you proud to ride BMX?” & “What’s the last thing you tried on your bike that didn’t work out?” – Plus there’s a great video of Fathead doing what he does best below the interview. Priceless stuff!

Click Here or the image below for the interview.
