The jam has happened and the reviews are in from our reporters out on the streets. Armed with pens, pads and pegs ex-pat Kriss Shee-Unit was at location last weekend to see what went down. Read on for the low down
Metal Pegs Street Jam – BMX rides (together) again
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a North East BMX Jam. I was quite disappointed when I couldn’t make it up for the BBQ Session at the Wastey the other month. However, the city that has everything once again proved it’s worth with it’s own North East Street Jam hosted by the new/old BMX collective Metal Pegs.
The secrete route round Hackney was set, the sound system was organised and the obligatory flat rail was placed at the last spot. All that was left was for us to cross our fingers and hope that the people of the fractious and wide spread London BMX scene would turn out…
In the true style of Metal Pegs all the following photos were taken by various people on the day and gathered up afterwards so thank you to everyone who contributed. Be it showing your face, dropping us some photographs, smashing your shoulder or just being Taliban Tom, Metal Pegs needs you and you need Metal Pegs.
When the smoke cleared we all headed to the woods to hail Satan around a fire.
Next up: Metal Pegs does… well, you’ll just have to wait and see.
