The Nike Batalla BCN teaser finally went up on Vimeo two days ago just after it was up on Mpora. It’s a very tense teaser as the sound is peaking out all over the place making you feel slightly on edge while watching. The clips are short, not giving much away and theirs plenty of falls and bad looking slams to help keep you even more up tight. The full video drops on May 1st featuring riding from Alex Kennedy, Simone Barraco, Kriss Kyle, Chad Kerley, Joris Coulomb and Daniel Tünte. I wonder how Nike will do it differently to everyone else that’s dropped edits from BCN of recent, their’s been like ten this year already!
First thing this morning on the old vimeo stream I saw that The Loot had posted up a new mix tape and the description of “featuring the whole crew” was enough to get me out of bed for a watch. Featuring Bengo, Alex Kennedy, Dan Paley, Mike Taylor, Josh Roberts, Addy Snowdon, Dan Roper and Fitzy and a mind blowing five minutes of quality riding.

The final section of the B-Team Episode 2 DVD is up. It’s gotta a split section between a bunch of faces you’ll recognise and Matty Lambert being on the other side of the lens for once. Riders in the mix section include Pete Sawyer, Phil Demattia, Tank, Jack Dub, Millsy, Lee Williams, Tegid and Scott Ditchburn, filming in and about Liverpool.

Alpha BMX just put up this sick street edit with the man they call Clark aka AlphaClark. He’s all street, no filler, no park, and the Wu-Tang are backing the track so you know its good.
Wu-Tang – Heaterz
Sam Marden filmed and edited this Nottingham Mix Tape that Ali Hutchinson just made me aware of (cheers bro). It reminds me of early days Make BMX videos with the music by Tom Waits. The riding is sick, lots of street, a little bit of park for good measure at the front end and a good helping of peg action throughout!
Featuring Sam Marden, Jordan Reid, Jack Norwood, Chris ‘Mole’ Smith, Ben Basford and Mark Le Hair filmed on a VX1000 on cold and shitty days in the UK over winter.
Tom Waits – Heart Attack

BSD’s Conor Winters has been busy the past week as he’s just put out this edit from seven days of riding in his hometown of Waterford City in Ireland (same place as where Jason Phelan is from). He’s only a young lad too, no older than 16 and he shreds hard in this here vid. Filmed and edited by Neil Sheehan.

Ricky Feather has been a much loved rider up in the North of England for many years, way before this photo was taken in 2008. He’d been on a few NSF trips, stayed up in Newcastle numerous times and was always a real good laugh to hang out with. Turns out now he’s a real good builder of road and race bikes and if you haven’t already checked out his website head over there after you’ve had a good look at this photo below.
These red brick quarters must have been around since the 90’s but it took until the early 2000’s for most of the BMXers in the North East to actually ride them. Tucked away in a Gateshead Council estate before the likes of Google Earth and Street View and any sort of social media it was a question of talking to the right people to find out where they were and then a mission to weave in and out of the streets and alleys to find them. Back when I shot this photo with Mr Feather not many people could ride these let along blast a tweaked table out of the top of them. Ricky was always good at the table and this photo on the classic Nikon D70 does it great justice. Enjoy the snap straight outta the camera..
Be sure to also watch his amazing split edit that United did back in 2009, both Ricky and team mate Theo Simpson killed it in this edit and it would still hold itself high in todays standards!

If you’re in Newcastle this weekend and are after some fresh new sneakers then this is a good event to be at. Sole Heaven are having a yard sale over at their shop in the Hoults Yard just off the Walker Road. There’s going to be a bit of a collaboration happening with Unit-44 as they provide the music in the form of live DJ’s and their impressive range of art hanging on the stone walls, meanwhile at Sole Heaven they’re going to be clearing loads of old stock from as little as £20 for a pair of sneakers!! Also be sure to check out the deals on their range of Snapbacks, Backpacks & Clothing that’s in store too.
Saturday 27th April, 10am – 4pm, Hoults Yard, Walker Road, NE6 2HL and check out their Facebook event page for any further updates!
Here’s Social Bike Co’s first edit welcoming the guys to the team and giving you a little bit of good riding form within the four walls of Flo Skatepark and Arc Skatepark because the weather has been rather pap.. everywhere. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a good street edit in the next few months once everything picks up and the unstoppable heat wave the UK gets every year happens. Until then here’s Sam Marden, Ryan Dawkins, Tom D’Arcy and James Gregson for your entertainment.
